We are very proud to announce that our last film ‘Hometown Mysteries 2 – The Case of the Sleazy Manager has won it’s first film festival in Detroit Michigan fall 2024. We are proud to announce winning at the ‘Detroit Independent Film Festival’. We also are part of a larger film festival in NY city as an ‘official selection’. So we continue to roll along in the film festival circuit.

We had also won for our film ‘Hometown Mysteries – A Farmhouse Murder’ had won as the ‘Best Crime Feature Film’ at the Santa Monica Film Awards in California in April 2023, Best Narrative Feature Film at International Future Sound Awards in NY City, and the Best Low Budget Feature Film Award at the Dallas . This is our first feature film win and we would like to thank all the cast and crew along with everyone who helped us along the way. We are a no budget indie family and this means a lot to a number of people.

We would also like to announce that we have won Best Narrative Feature Film in NY city at the International Sound Future Awards May 2023.

Songwind Studios (formerly Songwind Inc.) is based in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. The original company was founded in 1999 and was primarily an industrial film company. As Songwind Inc. owner Rob Letourneau was involved with the Canadian National Film Board, CBC Radio & Television, Canadian Tire, and Couch Cat TV to name a few. Over the years the company expanded their services to include music and now writing, editing and filming movies. With one short film, The Map, and five full-length feature films completed: The Tablet , A Double-edged Sword, I Need A Christmas Vacation, Hometown Mysteries – A Farmhouse Murder, and to be released in 2023, Hometown Mysteries 2 – The Case of the Sleazy Manager.

We are very proud to announce that we have received our 155th laurel and we want to thank everyone who has helped us along the way achieve this amazing goal.

Songwind Studios has been involved with volunteering for the Algonquin College Photography Program for a number of years now helping students with their hours towards their education.

Black Cherry Band (BCB) is a subsidiary that controls the music side via original music. BCB has ten (11) CD’s of original music with more on the way.

Songwind Studios is also involved with helping out TealFest Inc. a non-profit company that raises money to support ovarian cancer research.
